Driver and woman abandon dead passenger after crash

The male driver and his female passenger fled the scene, leaving behind a dead male passenger.
The woman was quickly tracked down, while police dogs also sniffed out the driver who attempted to hide nearby.
"There was a boat in the yard and he (the driver) secreted himself inside," Acting Superintendent Tom Nairn told 9NEWS.
Police said the car was not stolen, and it remains unclear why the driver did not stop.
"Both of the surviving occupants have said they didn't know the deceased passenger," Acting Supt. Nairn said.
"I just find that odd."
