Man dead after car crash in Melbourne

A man has been killed in car crash in Melbourne's west.

Passing motorists discovered the car which had crashed through a fence, just after 6am on Sunday, on the side of the Maltby Bypass at Werribee.

The man in his 40s was found dead at the scene.
