Man dead after being thrown 25m in crash

A motorcyclist is dead after being thrown 25 metres into a parked car in a crash in Melbourne.

The man was riding through Boronia on Friday night when he collided with a car and was thrown from his bike.

He died at the scene.

Several hours earlier, a woman pedestrian died after being hit by a car in Melbourne's southeast.

The 64-year-old was critically injured when she was struck while crossing a street in Dandenong and died in hospital a short time later.
