Man charged with murder after Melb assault

A man has been charged with the murder of Long Xiang Hu in Melbourne earlier this month.

Police allege a 22-year-old man, who is thought to be a Chinese national, assaulted the 19-year-old in Latrobe Place late on April 15.

Long was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries and died a week later on April 23.

The accused will face Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Wednesday morning.
