Man charged over Vic Xmas bushfire

A man has been charged with lighting a major grassfire that threatened homes near Melbourne on Christmas Day.
The Sunbury man, who is accused of starting a Christmas Day blaze that caused fire authorities to evacuate parts of Sunbury, remains under police guard in hospital on Friday.
The 47-year-old has been charged with 13 offences related to that blaze and another Sunbury fire which was started on Tuesday, and is due to front the Melbourne Magistrates Court next week.
