Man charged over Vic gaming venue robbery

A man who robbed a gaming venue in country Victoria armed with a gun has been charged by police.

It's alleged the 39-year-old Wonthaggi man stole an amount of cash from a Wonthaggi gaming venue and tried to rob the Wonthaggi golf course on Saturday night.

He was charged with armed robbery and attempted armed robbery and was expected to face court on Wednesday.
