Man charged over Melbourne train assault

A man has been charged over an assault on the Craigieburn train line.

The 26-year-old Coburg man allegedly assaulted a Craigieburn man, 52, on the train between Broadmeadows and Jacana railway stations on Wednesday afternoon, leaving him with a cut to his face.

He was arrested on Thursday on charges including recklessly and intentionally causing injury and was remanded to appear at the Broadmeadows Magistrates Court later in the day.
