Man charged over Melbourne kidnapping

A man is facing kidnapping, gun and drug charges after he allegedly forced a woman into a car at a Melbourne petrol station.

Police were seeking the 24-year-old and his 23-year-old victim after reports he pulled her into a car at a Fitzgerald Road, Derrimut, service station about 11.30pm on Thursday.

The pair were found about midday on Friday and the woman had non-life threatening injuries, police say.

The man is charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, possessing a firearm, drug possession and cultivation of cannabis.

After appearing in Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Friday evening he was remanded to reappear on Tuesday.
