Man bashed and robbed in Ballarat

A man has been bashed with a tyre iron and robbed in regional Victoria.

The 22-year-old was walking home in Ballarat in the early hours of Monday, when he noticed he was being followed by a car.

A man got out of the car, chased him and assaulted him with a tyre iron before fleeing with his wallet and phone.
