Man arrested over tram assault on Vic boy

A man has been questioned and his house raided in a police investigation into the indecent assault of a young boy on Melbourne tram.

Police say they arrested a 40-year-old Brunswick East man and searched his house on Thursday before releasing him pending further enquiries.

A security camera image was circulated this week after a 12-year-old boy was assaulted by a man who sat next to him on a Brunswick tram on April 17.
