Man arrested after Vic stand-off

A man allegedly armed with a gun has been arrested after a three-hour stand-off in Melbourne's west.

Police were called to a dispute at a home in Hoppers Crossing overnight.

Police set up a cordon and began negotiating with the man and a woman inside the house.

After three hours, the woman, 36, left the house.

She was taken to hospital for assessment.

A short time later, a 50-year-old man was arrested.

No one was injured during the ordeal.
