Man accidentally shot at Vic farm

A man has accidentally shot a colleague after firing at cows on a Victorian farm.

It is believed two men had been out shooting cattle to take to a butcher when the accident happened in Clyde, outer Melbourne.

One of the men was apparently cleaning or putting away his gun when it discharged, hitting the other in the hip.

Ambulance Victoria said a man in his 40s had non life-threatening injuries in the upper body and was in a serious condition at the Alfred Hospital.
