Man, 70, punched outside Melbourne pub

A 70-year-old man suffered multiple injuries that needed hospital treatment after he was punched in the face while intervening in an argument between a man and a woman in the car park of a Melbourne pub.

The man was knocked to the ground in the assault on April 8 at the Eltham Hotel, while the woman who was arguing with one of three men, who had been kicked out of the pub, was pushed to the ground, police say.

Victoria Police on Monday released CCTV images of the three men they want to speak to over the assault.
