Liberal MP to leave Vic parliament

Victorian Liberal MP Richard Dalla-Riva will not recontest his seat at the 2018 state election.

The upper house member and former minister for employment and industrial relations made the announcement on Friday, saying his departure would help bring new blood to the Liberal party.

Opposition Leader Matthew Guy says Mr Dalla Riva, who was also former minister for manufacturing, exports and trade from 2010 to 2013, made an "enormous contribution" to the party during the past 14 years.
