Large carving knife used in Vic burglary

A barefooted bandit brandishing a large carving knife has walked away with only a small amount of money after holding up a general store in country Victoria.

The man, wearing a balaclava, but no shoes, demanded cash from a store in Byrnside, near Shepparton, at 4.30am on Tuesday.

Once he received some money, the man ran from the shop and drove away in a car with no plates, police say.

A photo has been released by police of a man they wish to speak to.
