Labor urged to release TPP wording

Federal Labor is under pressure from the union movement to release details of the Trans Pacific Partnership.

The TPP wording is being kept secret, including by the opposition, as negotiations continue, with the ACTU holding fears the agreement will be bad for local jobs and industry.

"Release the wording or cease negotiations," ACTU secretary Dave Oliver told a rally of about 100 Maritime Union of Australia members in Melbourne's CBD on Tuesday.
