Kelpie rescued from 20-metre deep mineshaft

A kelpie named 'Mac' has been rescued from 20-metres down a mineshaft in regional Victoria.

Emergency services were called to the scene located between One Tree Hill Road and Mine Shaft Road in Smiths Gully, a town north-east of Melbourne.

It’s believed ‘Mac’ fell down the shaft at 8am, and was stuck for hours before finally being freed around 3pm.
