Keep defence contracts local: Andrews

All Australian defence contracts should have minimum local content requirements, Victoria's premier has told the federal government.

Daniel Andrews says he's written to Prime Minister Tony Abbott asking him to ensure new defence contracts give jobs to Australian companies and workers.

Mr Andrews has been arguing for the Land 400 combat vehicle to be built in Victoria, where it has been designed.
