Kangaroo collides with Victorian motorcyclist

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after colliding with a kangaroo in southern Victoria this morning.
The man, aged in his 60s, was riding when he hit the kangaroo in Double Bridges about 8.43am, on the corner of Great Alpine Road and Boys Camp Track.

Paramedics treated the man at the scene, but he did not appear to have obvious injuries.
He was taken to Bairnsdale Hospital in a stable condition.
The kangaroo died at the scene.
