Majak Daw outside court.

The fate of AFL player Majak Daw rests in the hands of a jury which is considering his innocence in a Melbourne rape trial.

Daw, 24, has pleaded not guilty to three counts of rape alleged to have happened when he and a girl went for a walk the night of a party eight years ago.

Neither deny sexual activity occurred in a reserve behind the party in March 2007 when he was 16 and the alleged victim was 15.

But the girl has told the Victorian County Court that Daw raped her three times.

The North Melbourne footballer told his trial the sex acts were consensual.

The jury began deliberating on Wednesday.
