Inmate stabbed in Victorian prison

A man has been taken to hospital after he was stabbed in a Victorian correctional facility.

It is believed the prisoner was stabbed inside Barwon Prison in Lara just before 2.30pm on Thursday.

The man in his 20s was treated for upper body injuries and suffered non-life threatening injuries, and is in hospital in a stable condition.
