Image of would-be thief released in Melb

A CCTV image has been released of a would-be thief who attempted to rob a fast food restaurant in Melbourne at knifepoint.

The man walked into the take-away store at a Deer Park shopping centre at 9pm on March 22, then produced a knife and demanded money, police say.

He was confronted by the store manager and fled empty handed.

Police have released an image of the offender and are seeking public assistance to identify him.
