An unidentified man walking a Labrador off its leash grabbed Azan’s lead and punched his owner in the face before fleeing the scene, police said.

Detectives found Azan at a Dandenong address at around 9am this morning, and promptly returned him to his owner.

Azan was in “good health” and “happy to pose for the cameras”, police said in a statement.
