Hunt on for suspect in Vic police shooting

A man is on the run and possibly armed after police were shot at while chasing two men into a block of units in Melbourne.

Officers had a gun fired in their direction in Dandenong North on Tuesday as they went to investigate an earlier incident involving a car.

Heavily armed police were called in and two men and a woman were arrested at the units on Tuesday afternoon, but one man is still on the run.
