House destroyed in Vic fire

A house has been destroyed and another damaged after a fire in Melbourne.
The destroyed house in Springvale South, in the city's south-east, was unoccupied at the time, and police say they believe it was undergoing renovations.
The fire spread to a neighbouring house, causing damage to the building and to a vehicle.

Some nearby houses were evacuated as a precaution until the fires were able to be extinguished.
There are no reports of any injuries, but officials will attend the scene today to investigate the cause of the fire.
