High price for fishy Vic restaurant dinner
Victorian opposition leader Matthew Guy insists political donations weren't on the menu during his dinner with alleged mafia boss Tony Madafferi. But what is on offer at restaurant Lobster Cave:
* Located at the exclusive beachside suburb of Beaumaris in Melbourne's southeast
* Established in 1987 claiming to be "reputed as the best seafood restaurant in Melbourne"
* Known for lavish seafood platters and lobster tails
* Cheapest item on the a la carte menu is the Vegetarian tempura entree, at $19.99
* Signature dish is the "Ultimate Fergination" with two whole grilled lobsters for $450
* Stocks "old and rare wines" including Penfolds Grange, but Mr Guy says "I very rarely, if ever, drink red wine"
* Long-term customers include Footy Show personality Sam Newman who refers to the restaurant as an "institution"
