A Malaysian man has been caught allegedly trying to internally smuggle 700 grams of heroin through a Victorian airport.
Border officials stopped the 38-year-old at Avalon Airport on Tuesday and during a bag search, say they uncovered two black-wrapped pellets which returned a presumptive result for heroin.
Officers became concerned he may be concealing more drugs internally and uncovered three more pellets, and when he was taken to hospital another 13 pellets were found.
