Hammer bandits break into Melb shops

Burglars have used a hammer to smash their way into a Melbourne shopping centre to steal mobile phones.

Three offenders and a getaway driver, broke into the Epping shopping centre and targeted a mobile phone store, stealing more than 20 phones on Thursday.

Police believe it's the same crime gang who tried and failed to rob the shopping centre just two days earlier.
