Vic fire threat eased, but not controlled

A grassfire is still burning out of control at Bamganie in regional Victoria but the threat to residents has eased.

A watch and act alert has been downgraded to an advice for the fire, which was reported to authorities at 2.56pm Thursday.

The CFA has 39 vehicles on scene.
