Good Samaritan helps detain man at Melbourne servo
A good Samaritan has helped police detain a man who allegedly threatened people in Melbourne’s south-east while armed with scissors and a shard of glass.
Police were called to St Kilda about 11am on Sunday following reports a man was chasing women through a park and assaulted patrons at a cafe.

Dramatic video shows the good Samaritan pushing the man to the ground at a service station just as police arrive with tasers drawn.
Speaking to 9News, he alleged the armed man was threatening people, saying that he was going to kill them, while armed with a pair of scissors and shards of glass.
The good Samaritan said he stepped in when the man moved towards a child in the service station.
The 50-year-old man was taken to hospital under police guard and remained there into the night.
No charges have been laid.
