Girl, 9, missing from Melb for 11 days

A nine-year-old girl has been missing in Melbourne's east for almost two weeks.

Aerodyne Handley separated from a group of people and headed to Boronia railway station on March 2.

Police say her disappearance is not suspicious, but have appealed for public help to find her.

They're also following leads from possible sightings in Mooroolbark and Ringwood.

"She has gone missing before, but it's completely unrelated to this incident," Acting Sergeant David Price told reporters on Friday.

"We do have concerns for her safety and do want her back safe and well."

Acting Sgt Price says Aerodyne left the group she was with, who can't be identified for legal reasons, on her own and appears to be missing of her own free will.

They've released an image of Aerodyne, who is described as 142cm tall and of solid build with long, straight brown hair.
