Father of underworld figure Carl Williams dies aged 69 after heart attack

The father of underworld figure Carl Williams has died.

George Williams is believed to have suffered a heart attack while setting up a television set at his home in Broadmeadows, the Herald Sun reports.

The 69-year-old was taken to hospital where he was placed on life support. He did not regain consciousness.

Williams spent the final years of his life fighting a $700,000 bill from the tax office.
