Three children who died after their mother's car veered off a road into a Melbourne lake will be farewelled at a joint funeral.

The cause of the April 8 accident in Wyndham Lakes is unknown and investigations continue with police calling on Friday for more help from the South Sudanese community.

Police also want to speak to a woman in her 30s who they believe was pushing a baby in a pram when the car hit the lake, and who knocked on the door of a nearby home telling the occupants what happened.

The children's mother, Akon Guode, 35, was interviewed by police and was released without charge after the tragedy in which three of her seven children died.

The Manyang family will gather on Saturday at St Andrews Catholic Church in Werribee to farewell one-year-old Bol, his four-year-old sister Anger and her twin brother Maudit.

Their five-year-old sister, Awel, was critically injured but is now home.
