Former union boss to receive Polish honour

Long serving union boss Joe de Bruyn will receive one of Poland's highest honours in Melbourne.
The former Shop, Distributive and Allied Employee's Association national secretary will be awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Polish Republic at a ceremony in Melbourne on Thursday.
The award recognises Mr de Bruyn's support of the Solidarity movement and democracy in Poland in the 1980s.
