Five teens arrested over Vic bus assault

Five teenagers have been arrested after they allegedly attempted to rob passengers on a Melbourne bus and assaulted the driver.
The incident occured at 7.30pm on Friday after the teens, four boys and a girl aged between 14 and 16 years old, got on the bus at Burwood, police say.
When the bus driver attempted to stop the teens, they allegedly struck him with a glass bottle and continued to assault him when he fell to the ground.

The driver was taken to hospital but has since been released. The teenagers are in custody, police say.
