Two groups of people have been rescued from their sinking boats in separate incidents in Victoria's Western Port Bay over the weekend.
Two men got into trouble when they ran out of fuel and ran ground on Saturday.
A family of three, including a four-year-old boy, was also lucky to survive when their boat started taking on water on Sunday.

Acting Sergeant Ben Penrose from the Water Police said this was a timely reminder for those heading out on the water to ensure they've thoroughly checked conditions, the safety of their vessel and fuel levels.
