Fire destroys Melbourne unit block
AAP
A complex comprising four units in the Melbourne suburb of Altona has been severely damaged by a suspicious fire.
Two of the units were well alight by the time the fire brigade arrived late on Saturday night and concerns were held for a resident who had not been accounted for. It was later determined she was not at home when the fire broke out.
Two units were so badly damaged they were structurally unsound while a third suffered some damage. Asbestos was also detected in the structure.
