Fire at Melbourne boarding house

Two people have been treated for smoke inhalation after a suspicious fire at a Melbourne boarding house.
Fire crews were called to the Gatwick Hotel in St Kilda on Wednesday morning, and found a basement bedroom on fire and a large amount of smoke.
Around 50 residents were evacuated and the fire was quickly brought under control, with two people treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

The fire is being treated as suspicious and police are investigating.
