Finks bikies face Vic court over break-in

Five Melbourne Finks bikies and a woman accused of carrying out a revenge home invasion over nude photos could fight their charges next month.

Gang kingpin Brent Reker, 34, Joshua Goss, 27, Alexander Baldszun, 24, Gregory Newey, 39, Pierce Williams, 32, and Tara Egglestone, 29, faced Melbourne Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

The group allegedly broke into the home of a man Egglestone claimed posted naked photos of her online.

During their time in court on Wednesday, Reker and Newey engaged in an aggressive verbal exchange, prompting magistrate Suzanne Cameron to warn they could be in contempt of court.

"There were issues last time, and it's occurred again today," she said.

"It's not on in my court.

"There's potentially the commission of an offence in my courtroom."

The six accused - along with a seventh man, Corey Wanakore-Moeke, who did not appear on Wednesday - allegedly broke into the Hampton Park home of Nick Gold in September last year.

It's claimed the group assaulted another man inside the house before storming in to find Mr Gold and his girlfriend in bed, assaulting Mr Gold.

Egglestone, Reker, Newey, Williams and Wanakore-Moeke allegedly used tyre irons during the attack.

The group has been charged with a range of offences including conspiring to commit aggravated home invasion, trespass with intent to assault, threat to kill and assault.

Lawyers for the group sought an adjournment to give them time to read the police brief and formulate a response.

A five-day committal hearing has been set down for the matter on May 27, when it is expected six witnesses will be cross-examined.

Ms Cameron noted "a big dock, a secure courtroom" would be needed for the committal, and that security measures would need to be addressed.

Reker, Williams, Eggleston and Goss remain in custody, while bail was extended for Baldszun and Newey.
