Man killed by fallen tree in Victoria's east

A man has died after he was hit by a fallen tree in Victoria's east.

Paramedics made their way through dense bushland and dirt roads in Fumina, about an hour away from Mount Baw Baw, at about 2pm, to find a man trapped under a tree.

The man, believed to be in his 20s, was injured and died at the scene.

It's not clear whether he was bushwalking or driving along that road, but police say they're not treating the death as suspicious.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
