Massive blaze burns at truck factory in Melbourne

A large fire is burning through racks of tyres at a factory in Dandenong, southeast Melbourne.

Firefighters were called to the fire at the Iveco Factory on the Princes Highway in Dandenong South shortly after 5pm.

Twelve fire crews continue to work to bring the fire under control.  

There are no reports of injuries, an ambulance spokesperson told 9NEWS.

Witnesses have taken to social media to capture the plumes of black smoke emerging from the site.

The cause of the fire remains unknown.

The CFA has warned locals to be aware of the large amount of smoke in the area.
