Exotic birds stolen from Melbourne aviary

Two exotic birds are still missing after 12 were stolen during a daylight robbery on a Melbourne aviary last week.

A 59-year-old man found a cut padlock on his aviary after the burglary at his Dandenong North home sometime between 8am and 8pm on Thursday.

Ten of the rare and valuable birds were recovered after detectives swooped on a property in Dandenong on Saturday.

Detectives are seeking public help to find the two missing Indian ringneck parrots.

One person is being questioned but no arrests have been made.
