A retired Supreme Court judge's daughter has faced a Melbourne court charged with trafficking cocaine and possessing tear gas and cash believed to be the proceeds of crime.

Kristina Hampel, 49, appeared briefly in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Thursday on seven charges, including four counts of trafficking cocaine and one count of possessing the drug.

Hampel, the daughter of former Victorian Supreme Court judge George Hampel, was charged in October following a police raid in South Yarra.

Police allege she had $12,300 in her possession, believed to be the proceeds of crime.

Hampel, who is also the stepdaughter of County Court judge Felicity Hampel, is also alleged to have been in possession of tear gas, a prohibited weapon.

The matter was adjourned until December 1.

Hampel's bail was extended.
