Elderly man dies after vehicle smash

An 80-year-old man involved in a collision between a car and truck in Victoria last week has died in hospital from his injuries.

The incident occurred in Shepparton in the state's north last Thursday when a Ford Falcon veered onto the wrong side of the road and into the path of the oncoming cement truck.

A female passenger sustained minor injuries in the collision and the truck driver was unhurt.
