Elderly man attacked in Vic robbery

An elderly man has been hit on the head with a firearm during a frightening armed robbery in Melbourne.
An armed balaclava-clad man confronted the man inside an Ormond jewellery store at 1.40pm on Thursday and demanded a safe be opened.
He refused and was hit on the head with a firearm before his attacker fled the scene in a black sedan.
