WHAT DRUGS HAVE BEEN DETECTED IN VICTORIAN PRISONS

* Buprenorphine, a prescription drug for treating heroin dependence, was the most commonly detected drug, making up 46 per cent of positive results.

* Loddon Prison and Marngoneet inmates had the highest rate of bupenorphine detections (102 and 90, respectively).

* Amphetamines were detected in 30 per cent of positive tests. Opiates were in 10 per cent.

* Port Phillip Prison recorded 79 positive amphetamine results. Loddon Prison recorded 53.
