A Victorian police officer has been charged with drug trafficking and unauthorised access to police information.
The female senior constable from the western region has also been charged with possessing a Schedule 4 poison, a category which includes prescription only medicine and prescription animal remedies.
The charges followed an internal investigation and the currently suspended officer will face the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on February 19, Victoria Police said in a statement on Tuesday.
