Two men stabbed in Melbourne's north

Two men have been stabbed during a fight at a house in Melbourne's northern suburbs which may have involved a tomahawk.

Police believe three men went to a Glenroy house on Wednesday afternoon and got into a fight with the occupants, which led to two men being stabbed.

Local residents reportedly saw a man being chased by two men brandishing a weapon while a woman ran behind them, screaming for them to stop.

A witness told Nine News the men were "slashing into the other man's back" and there are unconfirmed reports that one of the attackers may have been brandishing a tomahawk.

The men, one aged in his 20s and the other in his 30s, were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say investigations are ongoing.
