Shot men in stolen car in Melbourne
Two men are in hospital after being found slumped with gunshot wounds in a stolen car in Melbourne, with a gun and machete inside.
Police say the men, aged in their 30s, were found in the stolen car in Parkville, near Melbourne University, shortly before midnight on Thursday.
They were taken to hospital, one in a critical condition with numerous gunshot wounds and the other with a wound to his lower body.
Police found a firearm and machete in the car with the injured pair.
A Royal Melbourne Hospital spokeswoman said on Friday afternoon that the man with multiple wounds was now in a serious condition while the other man is listed as stable.
Police don't know yet exactly where the men were shot and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
