Dog dead in Melbourne house fire

A woman had to be restrained by Victorian firefighters after trying to rescue a pair of dogs from a burning house, with one animal dying in the blaze.
Up to 25 firefighters were called to the single-storey house at Reservoir, in Melbourne's north, on Saturday about 3.45pm.
One person suffered burns to their hands and one dog remains unaccounted for, a Metropolitan Fire Brigade spokesman told AAP.
